Experience the magnificence of medieval Irish castles and ancestral homes on this 6-night self-drive vacation. Begin your visit with a night at the 4-star Cabra Castle, an hour from Dublin Airport, where you can explore the tranquil glen at Dun a Ri Forest Park or take advantage of the 9-hole golf course on the property. From there, explore the countryside at your own pace, winding your way to the 5-star Kilronan Castle on the shores of Lough Meelagh in Roscommon, set amidst forty acres of green pastures and ancient forests. Relax and unwind at the world class spa or take in the local sites. On day three you’ll depart for 2 nights at Kinnity Castle Hotel a Gothic Revival castle set against the backdrop of the Slieve Bloom Mountains amidst 650 acres of rural parkland. Explore the estate’s gardens and unspoiled forests, the picturesque village of Kinnity or the 6th century monastery at Clonmacnoise nearby. You’ll also be within easy driving distance of sites to the south and west including Kilkenny Castle, Galway and the Aran Islands. Your last 2 nights will be spent in Dublin at the 4-star Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel overlooking Dublin Bay just 20 minutes from the city center in the exclusive town of Killiney.
