Day 1 USA - Dublin

Fly transatlantic to Dublin, Ireland. Dinner is served and in-flight entertainment is provided.

Day 2 Arrive in Dublin

Welcome to Dublin, Ireland’s vibrant capital city. Pick up your car rental from Dan Dooley and drive to Maldron Cardiff Lane, located in Dublin 2. After check-in take a stroll into the capital city. It is recommended to take a Hop On Hop Off bus tour of the city where you can stop and see some of the major attractions.

Day 3 Dublin to Killarney

After a traditional full Irish breakfast begin your journey south to Killarney. Along the way some recommended stops are Kilkenny Castle and Rock of Cashel. There are several routes you can take to Killarney and the coastal drive you could stop at Waterford Crystal, Cobh (Cork) and Blarney to kiss the famous stone. Arrive into Killarney later in the afternoon and check-in to the Scotts Hotel. The hotel is right in the heart of town so enjoy a nice dinner and entertainment.

Day 4 Ring of Kerry or Dingle Peninsula

After breakfast, you may choose to take a drive around the beautiful Iveragh Peninsula, better known as the “The Ring of Kerry,” or to the popular Dingle Peninsula. Either coastal drive will allow you to see the natural beauty of Ireland with some awe inspiring views. Return later in the afternoon for dinner and entertainment in the town of Killarney. There are several pubs playing traditional Irish music such as the Danny Mann Pub!

Day 5 Killarney to Ennis

After another hearty full Irish Breakfast, begin your journey north towards the popular town of Ennis where you will spend two nights at the Old Ground Hotel. Along your drive some recommended stops would be the Village of Adare (one of Ireland’s “prettiest little villages”), King Johns Castle and Bunratty Castle & Folk Park. After checking in to the Old Ground explore the town of Ennis and some fine dining and some of the finest traditional Irish music in Ireland. Stop into Poets Corner Pub for a pint and some great entertainment.

Day 6 Explore Ireland West

After breakfast, take a short drive to the Cliffs of Moher which rise 700 feet above the pounding Atlantic waves; the view is truly amazing. Other recommended visits include the Burren region and Ailwee Caves. Return to the Old Ground in the evening for dinner and a night out on the town.

Day 7 Ennis to Dublin

Depart in the morning in an eastern direction towards Ireland’s capital city, Dublin. Along the way some recommended stops would be Athlone (right in the center of Ireland) or Tullamore for those whiskey lovers. Arrive into Dublin late afternoon at the Maldron Cardiff Lane Hotel (4*) and walk into Dublin City to enjoy the cosmopolitan city and fine dining.

Day 8 Depart Dublin to USA or extra night in Dublin

After breakfast, drive to the airport to drop off the car rental. There is plenty of great shopping at Dublin airport for those last minute souvenirs.

For those who are staying an extra night in Dublin at the Cardiff Lane, make sure you stop at Trinity College to see the famous Book of Kells. Other suggested places would be the Jameson Distillery, Dublin Castle as well as many others.
