DUBLIN – KILMAINHAM GAOL – GUINNESS – TRINITY COLLEGE
This morning your driver/guide will meet with you and shortly afterwards you depart on yourshort drive to Ireland’s Capital, Dublin. You will be given a panoramic insight into some of the most profound, disturbing and inspirational themes of modern Irish history during your visit to Kilmainham Gaol. Leaders of the rebellions of 1798, 1803, 1848, 1867 and 1916 were detained here. Such names as Robert Emmet, Charles Stewart Parnell, leaders of the 1916 Rising and DeValera are associated with the Gaol wich closed down in 1924. Afterwards, visit the Guinness Storehouse to learn about the world-famous dark brew and enjoy a pint in the rooftop bar with fantastic panoramic views of Dublin. On then to the seat of learning at the heart of Dublin – Trinity College. Walk across the cobbled squares to the old library and see one of Ireland’s greatest treasures – the famed 8th-century Book of Kells. The remainder of your day is at leisure. Perhaps, explore the city’s stylish shops, galleries and museums, stroll through a park or relax in a café or pub. Later, return to your hotel.
