DUBLIN – DUBLIN CASTLE – GUINNESS – TRINITY COLLEGE This morning your driver/guide will meet with you and shortly afterwards you depart on yourshort drive to Ireland’s Capital, Dublin. First stop today, Dublin Castle. Originally built in the 13th century on a site previously settled by the Vikings it functioned as a military fortress, a prison, treasury, courts of law and the seat of English Administration in Ireland for 700 years. Rebuilt in the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, Dublin Castle is now used for important State receptions and Presidential Inaugurations. Afterwards, visit the Guinness Storehouse to learn about the world-famous dark brew and enjoy a pint in the rooftop bar with fantastic panoramic views of Dublin. On then to the seat of learning at the heart of Dublin – Trinity College. Walk across the cobbled squares to the old library and see one of Ireland’s greatest treasures – the famed 8th-century Book of Kells. The remainder of your day is at leisure. Perhaps, explore the city’s stylish shops, galleries and museums, stroll through a park or relax in a café or pub. Later, return to your hotel.
