We're talking play at the iconic Ballybunion Old Course above the Atlantic, which Tom Watson called a must-do for link enthusiasts, and where the 11th hole, with three tiers along seaside cliffs, has been cited as the finest hole on earth. Enjoy a 2nd round on Ballybunion Cashen Course. On the spectacular Ring of Kerry, you'll hit the links at Killarney, one of the oldest and most internationally recognized clubs in the world. Play is on the flagship Killeen Course, which played host to the Irish Open in 2010 and 2011. Challenge your skills on one of the finest golf links in Ireland, Portmarnock. This course is surrounded by water on three sides and is unique in that no two successive holes play in the same direction, thus making judgment of the wind all the more difficult.
You'll also play Portmarnock, on a peninsula just outside of Dublin, historic championship links with a whiskey connection – the Jamesons owned the land where the course opened in 1894. Head to County Clare for more golf with history at Lahinch Golf Club, just a few minutes from the dramatic Cliffs of Moher. Alister MacKenzie of Augusta National Fame and Tom Morris from St. Andrews had a hand in the original 1800s design. And discover a modern classic as you play in a spectacular setting on a peninsula over the Atlantic at Old Head Golf Links in Kinsale, County Cork, a par 72 course, opened in 1997, with ocean views from all 18 holes, and an amazing 4th hole that plays into a cliff-edge green.
