Stunning scenery will greet you in Wicklow, the "Garden of Ireland." From your home base at The Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt you'll play Druids Glen, co-designed by golf writer turned course designer Pat Ruddy and Tom Craddock, and opened in 1995. Known as "The Augusta of Europe," the parkland course hosted the Irish Open four years in a row beginning in 1996. Named for pagan high priests, the course has the remains of a real druid's altar at the 12th hole and is surrounded by gently rolling countryside. But don't let the tranquil scenery fool you –with its many water hazards this is one of the most challenging courses in Europe. Also in Wicklow, and designed by Ruddy, The European Club opened in 1993 and is recognized as one of the last great links courses built in the 20th century. The 20-hole course features tumbling dunes and dramatic views of the Irish Sea from 16 holes. The par four, 470-yard 7th hole was named by Golf Magazine as one of the World's Best Holes.
Your titillating play in the east of Ireland will also include the Arnold Palmer-designed Palmer Course at The K Club in County Kildare, considered one of the finest parkland courses in Europe, and home to the Ryder Cup in 2006. You can pit your wits against the golf greats here including on the 4th hole, known as "Arnold's Pick," with its overhanging trees. Portmarnock, just outside of Dublin, serves up the joy of a links course established in 1894 and known today one of the finest championship courses in Ireland – particularly acclaimed for its last five holes.

Rates are per person based on 2 or 4 person occupancy. Air-inclusive rates include roundtrip economy class airfare including carrier and government-imposed taxes and fees, including the September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 per enplanement originating at a U.S. airport. Fluctuations in exchange rate may affect some taxes or fees. Advertised price based on select midweek departure dates (Sunday - Thursday) in April 2012 from JFK-NY to Dublin on Aer Lingus.
