Course Description
St Andrews Eden Course - Opened in 1914 and designed by HS Colt. Updated by Donald Steel in 1989. The Eden course is a very natural course designed to offer the character and interest of the championship courses but not the same degree of difficulty. As such it provides the low handicapper an opportunity to enjoy a round of classic links golf. Opened for play in 1914, the Eden course was designed by Harry S. Colt, using natural features and field boundary walls to give the course an entirely natural feel.
Alterations completed in 1989, under the direction of the golf course architect, Donald Steel, do not fall short of the high standards set by Mr. Colt. The result is a course of character but slightly less testing and more forgiving than the three courses lying on the seaward side. As such it provides the low handicapper an opportunity to enjoy a round of classic links golf. Par 70, 6195 yards
