Course Description
Royal St Georges Golf Course - One of the most famous and difficult links golf courses in the world, Royal St. Georges has hosted some twelve Open Championships. Like many great links, Royal St. Georges owes its origins in large part to chance. Having set off from London in search of land upon which to construct a golf course akin to the links of their native Scotland, Dr. Laidlaw Purves and Henry Lamb came across a mountainous collection of dunes, which is now home to this famous links. Such was the quality of the links, that in 1894, Royal St. Georges became the first course outside Scotland to host the Open Championship. Par 70, 6390 yards
