A prestigious Links golf course set in the east. Been home to several Scottish boys and amateur events. Requires an accurate tee shot, but the real danger is around the greens with numerous bunkers and long undulating greens, with a lot of roll, the putter is a key figure. For some years Nairn Dunbar lived very much in the shadow of its more famous sister on the other side of this quaint Highland town. But times are changing. Nairn Dunbar has finally emerged from the shadows and is making a big name for itself in its own right. A splendid new clubhouse, a testing links and spectacular views across the Moray Firth have all contributed to its reputation. Silver birch, winding burns, gorse and whin bushes are all part of the natural hazards.
